North Hills garden clubs announce upcoming programs on birds, bulbs

Following are some of the upcoming programs being offered by garden clubs in the North Hills:

Greybrooke Garden Club

Lauren Hansen, manager of Wild Birds Unlimited, will lead a program titled“Pittsburgh Winters are for the Birds” at the next meeting of the Greybrooke Garden Club on March 13.

The club’s business meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by refreshments and Hansen’s program.

The club meets in Fellowship Hall at Parkwood Presbyterian Church, 4289 Mt. Royal Boulevard, Hampton.

Longvue Acres Garden Club

The Longvue Acres Garden will present a program on march 26 titled “The Other Bulbs: Beyond Tulips, Hyacinths and Daffodils by local bulb expert Leonard Lehman.

The free program starts at 7:30 p.m. at Northmont United Presbyterian Church, 8169 Perry Highway in McCandless.
