Fox Chapel Area students will begin the 2019-20 school year on Aug. 22.
School board members approved the new calendar, building 182 days into the school year.
Students will have eight days off for winter break, from Dec. 23 to Jan. 2; an early dismissal on April 3 will lead into spring break from April 6-10, prior to Easter on April 12.
Testing for PSSAs will take place from April 20 to May 8.
The last day of school is scheduled for June 5.
If classes are canceled for snow or other reasons, make-up dates will be added to the end of the year on June 8, 9, 10 and 11.
