Redistricting reform focus of free ‘Gerrymandering 101’ program at LaRoche

A group of organizations working to raise awareness about congressional redistricting reform are hosting a free seminar titled “Gerrymandering 101” on May 14 at La Roche University in McCandless.

The program is sponsored by the North Hills Pittsburgh Branch of the American Association of University Women, Draw the Lines PA and Fair Districts PA.

Guest speakers will include Suzanne Broughton of Fair Districts PA and Rachel Colker of Draw the Lines.

The program will cover the issues, history and current redistricting reform efforts in Pennsylvania.

The event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ryan Room at the university’s Zappala College Center, 9000 Babcock Boulevard.
