McCandless residents are invited to participate in a tree-planting event called Woods for Water on Saturday, April 27.
Participants will be planting trees from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. along Pine Creek in North Park.
The group will gather at 303 Pearce Mill Road.
Snacks will be provided but volunteers should bring their own water.
Volunteers also should wear closed-toed shoes and bring their own shovels and gloves.
