McCandless is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on a new Technology Advisory Committee.
Council voted unanimously April 22 to create the committee, which will be responsible for developing and recommending policies and programs to council that “preserve and enhance aspects of the character of the Town of McCandless and address technology issues in the Town,” according to the resolution establishing the committee.
The committee will be made up of of five McCandless residents appointed by council who will serve staggered four-year terms.
Three of the initial members of the committee will be appointed for four-year terms and two members will serve for two years.
Subsequent appointments will be for the full, four-year term or to complete unexpired terms.
Applications are available online and can be returned by email to: administration@townofmccandless.org.
The application also can be hand delivered or mailed to: Town of McCandless, 9955 Grubbs Road, Wexford, PA 15090.
Residents have until 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 23 to apply for the volunteer post.
