McCandless is taking applications from residents interested in completing a term on the town’s zoning hearing board.

The volunteer post is to fill the second alternate position on the board, which became vacant with the May 20 resignation of James Bann.

The term runs through 2021.

The board conducts hearings for variances from the zoning ordinance, special exceptions, appeals from actions of the zoning officer and challenges to the validity of the zoning ordinance or map.

Qualified applicants will be interviewed by Town Council.

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 20.

Completed applications can be returned by email to: administration@townofmccandless.org. Applications also can be mailed or hand-delivered to: Town of McCandless, 9955 Grubbs Road, Wexford, PA 15090.
