Chad Amond, president and CEO of the Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce, has been named a Business Leads Fellow of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Amond will participate in the third cohort of the Business Leads Fellowship Program, which trains and equips leaders from state and local chambers of commerce to address their most pressing education and workforce challenges.

Following a competitive application and selection process, Amond was selected, along with 33 other state and local chamber executives, to participate in the four-month program.

“Westmoreland County and our businesses need to focus primarily on student achievement and workforce development. With under 4% unemployment, employers just can’t find enough workers,” Amond said. “Students need to focus on career pathways to secure jobs in our area. The chamber is proud to have a key role in working on this issue in Westmoreland County and all of Southwestern Pennsylvania.”
