A section of Reis Run Road in Ross Township that was shut down May 31 due to a landslide will remain closed indefinitely because the land is still too unstable to begin repairs, according to PennDOT.

Reis Run is closed in both directions between Rochester and Arndt roads due to a landslide, which is from a private property, transportation agency officials said Friday.

Geotechnical engineers are monitoring the site as the hillside continues to move, PennDOT officials said.

A posted detour will take motorists traveling east onto Reis Run to northbound Rochester Road and back onto Reis Run. Westbound traffic will follow the same detour route.
