The North Hills School District will help get fans ready to cheer on the teams competing in the fall sports season with a Community Pep Rally on Monday, Aug. 19 — the day before the start of classes for the 2019-20 school year.

The pep rally begins at at 7 p.m. at Martorelli Stadium.

Members of the fall varsity girls’ and boys’ soccer, football, golf, girls’ volleyball, cross country, girls’ tennis, slow pitch softball, ice hockey and inline roller hockey teams will be introduced during the event.

There also will be performances by the North Hills marching band and cheerleaders.

Refreshments will be available for purchase, along with North Hills attire and spirit items.

Members of youth community sports teams are invited to wear their team jerseys to the pep rally.

Admission is free, but cash donations and items needed to supply the North Hills Backpack Initiative and the NH Pantry are being collected. The programs provide direct assistance to district students and families in need.
