Single-lane restrictions are expected to take place along Hulton Road in Oakmont the next few months.

PennDOT officials said M&B Services will install Americans with Disabilities Act compliant curb cut ramps on the state road between Allegheny Avenue and Twelfth Street in the borough Monday through late October.

Work will occur weeknights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

A single lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction during work hours. No restrictions are expected during non-work hours.

Another project up the road

This project is separate from other PennDOT work being done farther up Hulton Road.

A half-mile stretch near the Plum and Penn Hills border remains closed until mid-November so crews can repair sections damaged by a landslide in February 2018.

The $3.4 million project between Iowa Street and Michael Drive began in July.

Drivers starting north of the slide and trying to get south of it are advised to take Coxcomb Hill Road, make a right on Logans Ferry Road, a right on Leechburg Road and then go right back onto Hulton Road.

That detour is the exact reverse for drivers going the other direction.
