Pedestrian in critical condition after hit and run crash in Homewood

A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood, according to police.

The driver fled the scene, police said.

The crash happened around 4:40 a.m. on the corner of Fifth and Frankstown avenues.

Medics found the man unconscious in the crosswalk.

Further details were not immediately available.
