Duquesne women rout Pitt in annual City Game

Freshman Amaya Hamilton scored 17 points to lead a balanced Duquesne attack in an 81-62 victory over the Pitt women Saturday in the annual City Game at Petersen Events Center.
Amanda Kalin shot 7 of 11 from the field and finished with 16 points for the Dukes (4-2), who led 40-28 at halftime. Sophomore center Libby Bazelak finished with 13 points, and junior guard Nina Aho added 11 points, seven rebounds and seven assists as Duquesne won the City Game for the ninth time in the past 11 seasons.
The 19-point margin was the most in a Duquesne win in the 38-game series history.
Dayshanette Harris scored 22 points, and Cara Judkins added eight points and 13 rebounds to lead Pitt, which shot only 2 of 12 from 3-point range. Pitt’s leading scorer, senior guard Aysia Bugg, was limited to a season-low seven points on 3-of-13 shooting.
