McDonald’s will give out free breakfasts, lunches and dinners to first responders and health care workers to thank them for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.
The restaurant chain said it will provide the Thank You Meals from Wednesday through May 5 at participating restaurants. The meals will be served in an iconic Happy Meal box.
Front-line workers will need to show their work badge or be in uniform to receive the meals, which can be picked up via drive-thru or carry out, McDonald’s said Tuesday.
“I couldn’t be more proud of how our company, franchisees and supplier partners have come together to give back to those who are working tirelessly for our country,” McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger said in a news release.
For breakfast, workers can pick an Egg McMuffin, Chicken McGriddle or Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit. All come with a soft drink, tea or hot coffee of any size and a hash brown, the company said. Lunch and dinner choices consist of a Double Cheeseburger, 6-Piece Chicken McNuggets or a Filet-O-Fish. All come with a soft drink, tea or hot coffee of any size and small fries.
