The victim of a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Garfield neighborhood died in the hospital Tuesday afternoon, according to the city’s Department of Public Safety.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 36-year-old Trai Wilson of Pittsburgh.

Police said the city’s ShotSpotter system detected multiple rounds fired in the 5100 block of Dearborn Street just after 11 p.m. Monday.

Soon after, police said a man with multiple gunshot wounds, later identified as Wilson, arrived at a city hospital in a private vehicle. He was initially listed in critical condition and died shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
