Officials closed a residential road in Penn Hills on Thursday morning after a water main broke and caused damage to the street and a house, according to a tweet from Allegheny County.

Aber Road remains closed from Harvest Drive to Grove Road. The road is located within the municipality’s Nadine and Lincoln Park neighborhoods.

Allegheny County announced the road closure via Twitter around 9 a.m.

When reached by phone, Penn Hills Fire Marshal Chuck Miller said he could not comment on the severity of the situation because he had not been to the scene.

Penn Hills Station 221, located in the municipality’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, was not immediately available to comment.
