Allegheny County Police have arrested a McKees Rocks man in the fatal shooting of a Beaver County man Friday morning at the Pittsburgh Motel on Steubenville Pike in Robinson.

Jaquay Murray, 25, is charged with criminal homicide in the death of Christopher Langham, 48, of Hookstown. Police and medics were summoned to the motel at 11:22 a.m., and Langham was pronounced dead there at 11:33 a.m.

According to county detectives, Langham went to the motel to meet someone and was invited into a room, where he encountered Murray after “a few seconds.” Murray came out of the bathroom, pointed a handgun at Langham and shot him as he attempted to flee the room, police said.

Murray fled but was spotted a short distance away and was detained by officers.

He was placed in the Allegheny County Jail and was awaiting arraignment.

He also is charged with illegal possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license and tampering with or fabricating evidence.
