Goats eat invasive plants at Beechwood Farms

Beechwood Farms in Fox Chapel is using goats to rid the campus of invasive weeds.

The temporary visitors are tasked with the job of chewing the weeds near an ADA-compliant trail at the campus along Dorseyville Road. They are expected to be on-site through the end of August.

Fox Chapel park designs will restore wetlands.

Plans for Hardie Valley Park in Fox Chapel include extensive restoration of wetlands.

Cost for the six-year plan is expected to top $3.3 million.

Aspinwall seeking junior council person.

High schoolers who live in Aspinwall and have an interest in local government can apply to serve as a junior member of borough council.

The two-year term will give teens a glimpse into policy making.

New pastor appointed at Roots of Faith in Sharpsburg.

New York native Barry Henck is the new pastor at the Sharpsburg ministry. He hopes to continue to grow the positive programs that benefit the area, Henck said.
