Browns ‘clap back’ at JuJu Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool. Why wouldn’t they?

The Browns are “clapping back” at Steelers receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool.
Can you blame ‘em?
Cleveland clubbed the Steelers 48-37 on Sunday night for its first playoff win since 1994.
So Smith-Schuster’s pregame “the Browns is the Browns” line looks dumb. And Claypool’s TikTok video Monday saying that the Browns would get “clapped” by the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend looks even worse.
You know, since he said that less than 24 hours after getting “clapped” by those same Browns.
Cleveland running back Kareem Hunt was at an autograph appearance Tuesday afternoon. He signed a helmet with his name, the game’s final score, and the words “Corvette, Corvette” and “clapped ‘em.”

That was a reference to Claypool’s quote and Smith-Schuster’s pregame logo dance videos.
Meanwhile, linebacker Sione Takitaki also piled on Claypool during a radio interview on 92.3 The Fan Tuesday morning.
#Browns LB @STakitaki on @923TheFan on Steelers WR Chase Claypool’s comments “It’s really just funny. He’s salty with the loss. You can hear it in his voice. We don’t really dwell, put too much time about it. Obviously, we got the win, so we got the last laugh…leave it at that”

And defensive lineman Adrian Clayborn responded to Claypool as well.
Just go on vacation already young fella https://t.co/YqjgFvYLi9

For his part, Claypool had 14 catches for 234 yards and four total touchdowns in the three games between the clubs this year. So he was already going to be a marked man when the teams face off next season.
That’s going to be even more of the case now.
Smith-Schuster had 13 catches for 157 yards and a score Sunday. The Browns will remember him, too, wherever he winds up in free agency, whether it’s back in Pittsburgh or elsewhere.
One more thing, though. Claypool is right. The Browns will get “clapped” by the Chiefs. That doesn’t make him look any less foolish for saying that after he just got kicked out of the playoffs by that same team. But he ain’t wrong.
I’ll take K.C. 39-27.
