Pittsburgh Citiparks continues Grab ‘N Go meals through Friday; summer food distribution begins Monday

Citiparks will continue its Grab ‘N Go meals through Friday before the summer food distribution begins June 14.

Grab ‘N Go meals and snacks are doled out at more than a dozen sites that include the eight Citiparks Recreation Centers. Food is given out from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The pick-ups are for people up to 18 years old or those up to 21 years old with intellectual disabilities.

Food giveaway sites include:

• Ammon, 2217 Bedford Avenue.

• Arlington, 2201 Salisbury Street.

• Brooklin, 1400 Oakridge Street.

• Chadwick Park Facility Building, 1501 Oberlin Street.

• Ormsby, 79 S. 22nd Street.

• Phillips, 201 Parkfield Street.

• Warrington, 329 Warrington Avenue.

• Allegheny Dwellings, 171 Belleau Drive (Rear) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• As Wee Care, 3004 Stayton Street from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.

• Community Empowerment, 7120 Kelly Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• East Hills Community Center, 2291 Wilner Drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Hazelwood/Poorlaw, 895 Johnston Avenue 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Northview Heights, 441 Mt. Pleasant Road from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Project Destiny 1, 3737 Brighton Road from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• Salvation Army Homewood, 8020 Frankstown Avenue from 10:20 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• Salvation Army Westside, 1821 Broadhead Fording Road from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Summer Food Service Program is scheduled to begin Monday, with most locations serving meals from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. weekdays.

Locations are being determined. A list will be posted at pittsburghpa.gov
