Volunteers helped make Christmas cards for current and active military members at Pittsburgh Art and Stamp Bar in Wexford.

On Sept. 10, local veterans stopped by to offer encouragement and their thanks to the volunteers, who are aiming to make 1,000 Christmas cards to be sent to troops around the world via the Making Cards for Our Troops nonprofit.

Store owner Kim Stover provided all materials, postage, lunch and snacks – and 600 cards were made during the event.
