QB Teddy Bridgewater expected to start for Broncos vs. Steelers on Sunday

It does not appear the Pittsburgh Steelers will face a backup quarterback in their quest to break a three-game losing streak Sunday.
Denver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was a full practice participant Friday, and barring an unexpected setback, will start Sunday’s game at Heinz Field.
The veteran starter suffered a concussion last week that prevented him from playing in the second half of a loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He since has been in the NFL’s concussion protocol, missing practice Wednesday and listed as a limited participant Thursday.
The Broncos officially listed Bridgewater as questionable for Sunday. Multiple reports from Denver media say Bridgewater will face the Steelers “barring an unexpected setback.”
Concussion protocol is a multistep process involving independent neurologists. The re-emergence of symptoms would likely prevent Bridgewater from playing.
A 28-year-old in his eighth NFL season, Bridgewater has not thrown an interception and has a 110.6 passer rating in four games this season. The Broncos won all three games he started and finished. He is 29-24 as an NFL starter for four teams.
“Super efficient quarterback,” Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt said Friday. “He gets the ball out relatively quickly, doesn’t drop too deep, doesn’t drop too shallow. He knows exactly what he needs to do. He’s got good weapons in guys to throw the ball to.”
Drew Lock replaced Bridgewater last week and would start Sunday if Bridgewater is out. Lock started 18 games his first two seasons after being a second-round pick but lost his starting job to Bridgewater during a training-camp competition.
Lock started a game at Heinz Field early last season but was injured on a first-quarter sack and did not return.
