New Kensington boy, 16, remembered as ‘sweetest, kindest soul’

Isaiah Parks celebrated his 16th birthday on Oct. 9. Born with a rare genetic defect that affected his heart, Isaiah died at his New Kensington home on Tuesday.

Messages are left on Isaiah Parks’ desk at Valley High School in New Kensington. Parks died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021 at age 16. His teacher, Jenelle Cole, said she intends to leave the desk in her classroom for five years, until when Parks’ would have turned 21.
