An Aliquippa woman involved in two separate crashes on Route 22 in Washington County early Friday morning has died, according to authorities.

The Washington County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as Lori Ann Dickey, 47.

According to the coroner’s initial report, Dickey was driving east on Route 22 in Hanover Township when she crossed the center median and collided with an oncoming tractor-trailer. She got out of her vehicle and began walking toward the driver of the tractor-trailer, the coroner said.

A vehicle not involved in the initial crash then struck the woman, resulting in her death, said state police Cpl. Mateo Herrera of the Pittsburgh barracks.

A ruling on the cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy.

No other injuries were reported.

The crashes caused Route 22 to close for several hours. It reopened around 5 a.m.

State police are investigating.
