An Arnold man who was on parole from a 2018 drug conviction was accused of getting back into business after getting out of jail.
Julian Maran Greenlee, 35, of the 1400 block of Fifth Avenue was arrested Jan. 31 by Arnold police. He was charged with a felony count of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver along with counts of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Thursday,Feb. 9, District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr. ordered Greenlee to stand trial on the charges in Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court.
Greenlee was being detained in the Westmoreland County jail in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond, according to court records. Formal arraignment is scheduled for April 12.
According to a criminal complaint, Arnold police were contacted by state parole agents who were at Greenlee’s home after they found contraband.
Police found a blue supermarket bag in the basement that had six baggies, each containing about an ounce of marijuana , the complaint said.
Police said a large freezer bag marked “Rainbow Runtz” coated in marijuana residue was found in the kitchen.
Investigators said other evidence that Greenlee was selling drugs included a bag filled with glassine packets that was found in the kitchen ceiling along with small, black rubber bands.
Police noted that Greenlee does not possess a valid state medical marijuana card. The drugs were field-tested and came back positive for the presence of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, according to the complaint.
Court records show that in December 2018, Greenlee pleaded guilty to a felony count of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver and was sentenced to three to six years in prison.
