Latrobe Art Center took on the look and feel of a cozy bistro for A Taste of Romance, a Valentine-themed dinner held Feb. 10.
Tables were laid with white linens with red accents, including napkins and candles, and strewn with chocolate hearts. Soft jazz played in the background.
Adding to the ambiance were the walls adorned with art.
Chef Rita Witte, who operates Ricolita’s Cafe in the center, was in charge of creating the menu for the four-course meal.
“Prime rib and lobster, it’s always a couple’s favorite for Valentine’s Day — surf and turf,” she said.
Prior to sitting down for the main event, guests sampled from a buffet of heavy hors d’oeuvres, including charcuterie, fruit and pasta.
It was the second year for the sold-out event, which proved so popular that a few seats were added to the original limit of 40, according to LAC Executive Director Michael Tusay.
Tusay welcomed guests, along with Assistant Director Joe Bellack and board members Rosanne Bodziak and Anthony DiVittis.
Tuxedo-clad board Treasurer Marty Singer played maitre d’.
Witte’s husband, Harry Witte, also helped to serve.
