Food drive slated

A Penn Township staffing agency is conducting a snack food drive until May 5 for a North Huntingdon non-profit that helps make birthday wishes come true for children of families in need or who are homeless.

Express Employment Professionals at 4012 Route 130, Harrison City, is collecting packs of goldfish, animal crackers, oatmeal, granola bars, min-cereal packs, movie-sized boxes of candy, microwaveable macaroni and cheese, cookies, small bottles of water and juice pouches for Beverly’s Birthdays, which partners with more than 150 social service agencies and 58 low-income schools in Westmoreland, Fayette, Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Washington and Greene counties.

Donations can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the Express Employment office at 4012 Route 130, Harrison City.

For more information, contact the Express office at 724-392-7190.
