Motorists who take the northbound Route 28 ramp to Route 910 in Harmar might want to prepare for a longer commute for almost two months.

PennDOT has announced single-lane, weekday restrictions beginning Tuesday on the Route 28 North to the Route 910 (Exit 11) off-ramp in Harmar will begin Tuesday, weather permitting.

That single-lane restriction will happen weekdays from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. through late June. Crews will be erecting road signs.

The work is part of the $27.68 million highway restoration project on Route 28 between Exit 11 in Harmar and Exit 13, which is the Russellton/Creighton exit.

Construction will include milling and resurfacing, concrete pavement preservation, bridge rehabilitation and preservation, traffic signals, upgrades to highway lighting and pavement marking, guide rail and drainage improvements, and other miscellaneous work.

Work is expected to conclude early next year.
