Boy in stable condition after shooting in Stowe, Allegheny County Police say

A boy was in stable condition after he was shot Wednesday evening in Stowe Township, according to Allegheny County Police.

The shooting was reported to county 911 dispatchers shortly after 7 p.m. near Sixth and Ridge streets.

First responders found the boy shot in the arm, police said. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

County detectives are investigating. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (255-8477). Callers can remain anonymous.
