A Franklin Regional school bus driver was transported by ambulance after the bus struck a home in Murrysville on Thursday afternoon, according to county emergency officials.

First responders were called to the intersection of Northlawn Circle and Longview Drive after the bus struck a house while making a turn onto Longview, FR spokesperson Tina Gillen said.

Four Franklin Regional Middle School students on the bus were not injured. Gillen said their parents have been notified, and the students were examined as a precaution following the crash.

The driver was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, according to a Westmoreland 911 supervisor, who added there was no structural damage to the house.
