NCAA Tournament practice sessions for all 8 teams open to public at PPG Paints Arena

Practice sessions at PPG Paints Arena for all eight teams competing in the NCAA Tournament first-round games will be open to the public Wednesday.

Akron gets the day started at 11 a.m. followed by Creighton at 11:45 a.m., Oregon at 12:30 p.m., South Carolina at 1:15 p.m. and Oakland at 2 p.m. Kentucky coach John Calipari, a Moon native, leads his team onto to the floor at 2:45 p.m., followed by N.C. State at 3:30 p.m. and Texas Tech at 4:15 p.m.

All sessions will last 40 minutes.

The first game starts at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, with Akron meeting Creighton. South Carolina vs. Oregon tips off 30 minutes after the end of the first game.

The evening session features Kentucky vs. Oakland at 7:10 p.m., followed 30 minutes later by Texas Tech and N.C. State. Tip times for the two second-round games Saturday will be announced later this week.
