Protecting the environment is an important goal of Pine, where leaders aim to provide community members and visitors the opportunity to lead an environmentally conscious and sustainable lifestyle and spread awareness.
The township will host its first Earth Day Event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 27 at the Pine Community Center, 100 Pine Park Drive. The event is free and is open to guests of all ages and abilities, providing fun and educational workshops and activities.
All-day features include a local vendor market, food trucks, refill-your-own-candle booth by Chez Lapin, activity and information booths, recycling opportunities, a recycled art show from Pine-Richland School District, giveaways and more:

The township also will be recycling e-Waste (excluding televisions and large appliances) in the usual bins at the community center.
The Earth Day Event festivities will take place outside of the community center. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside.
