Pitt received its 12th verbal commitment from the class of 2025 on Saturday when Akram Elnagmi, an offensive tackle who comes from Loughborough, England, pledged to enroll next year. He attends school at the NFL Academy, a developmental school for student-athletes in his hometown.

Elnagmi (6-foot-6, 295 pounds), who announced his commitment Sunday on X, is the second offensive lineman in Pitt’s ‘25 class. He joins Thomas Jefferson’s Shep Turk, who committed last month. He also is the second foreign-born offensive lineman to commit to Pitt in the past two recruiting cycles. Moritz Schmoranzer of Langenfeld, Germany, committed last year.

Elnagmi is unranked in the Rivals.com database.

Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi was able to flip Elnagmi from his previous commitment last month to Eastern Michigan. Elnagmi also had offers from Akron, Campbell, Florida A&M and Virginia.

Six months before signing day, Pitt’s class of rising seniors is ranked 43rd in the nation — 10th in the ACC — by Rivals.
