A 19-year-old motorcyclist from Brackenridge was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday in Harrison, police said.

Officers responded at about 3:45 p.m. to Dallas Avenue and Freeport Road, near Eat’n Park, to find the man’s motorcycle had collided with the passenger side of a Chevy sedan, Chief Brian Turack said.

He did not release the names of the people involved.

“The Chevrolet was traveling eastbound on Dallas and the motorcycle was traveling north on Freeport, when he impacted the car,” Turack said.

The sedan was driven by an 86-year-old man from Frazer. He was not reported to be injured, Turack said.

The motorcycle driver was taken from the scene by Citizens EMS and then by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Freeport Road remained closed for about an hour.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

“We are grateful for the witnesses who stuck around and told us what they saw,” Turack said.
