Fox Chapel police are urging residents to be vigilant after a home was burglarized this week.

A house on South Drive was burglarized around 8 p.m. Wednesday, police Chief Michael Stevens said Friday.

According to a notice to residents, two burglars forced their way into an unoccupied home.

Stevens deferred any other comment to Allegheny County Police.

A county police spokesman said they had no suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call their tip line at 833-255-8477.

Fox Chapel police are advising residents to remain vigilant and watch out for their neighbors.

They also suggested maintaining and using burglar alarms, to check recording systems for suspicious activity and to immediately call 911 to report all suspicious vehicles and persons.

Residents who are away from their homes are encouraged to call police at 412-963-7220 to be placed on a vacation watch.
