Man wounded in East Liberty shooting
Pittsburgh police are investigating a shooting in East Liberty on Saturday evening.
According to the police, officers were dispatched to the 6200 block of Penn Avenue, near Target, for a report of a man who had been shot around 6:15 p.m.
When they arrived, the victim was standing on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his upper left leg.
He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
Witnesses told police that the victim and suspect had been involved in a confrontation nearby before the shooting.
The suspect fled before police arrived, and detectives are investigating.
