A North Versailles man is awaiting arraignment in connection with a drug bust at a Hempfield hotel, according to the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office.

Charges were filed Friday against Brandon Patrick Lewis, 30.

County detectives and sheriff’s deputies worked with the Westmoreland County Drug Task Force and agents from the state Attorney General’s office to execute a search warrant March 21 in a room at the Red Roof Inn on Sheraton Drive.

When Lewis arrived back at the motel, police reportedly seized suspected fentanyl, crack and cocaine that was valued at $13,200. Investigators said they found 29 bricks of suspected fentanyl and $3,300 in the hotel room.

He is charged with several drug offenses. Lewis did not have an attorney listed in online court records. He is being held at SCI Somerset. Lewis had arrest warrants in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and told authorities he had been accidentally released from jail in February, according to the DA’s office.
