Shady Side Academy officials had announced their plans for this year’s graduation ceremony on June 7.
It is planned for 9-11 a.m. on McKelvy Field at Michael J. Farrell Stadium, 423 Fox Chapel Road.
There are 122 seniors in the graduating class of 2025.
Academy officials said there is no limit on the number of guests each graduate is allowed to bring.
Families will also be able to watch the ceremony via livestream at shadysideacademy.org/commencement.
Graduates are expected to report to campus and meet at the Rowe Hall flagpole at 8 a.m. A class photo is scheduled for 8:20 a.m. followed by the assembly of the platform party, trustees and faculty at 8:45 a.m.
Commencement begins at 9 a.m.
Guest speaker will be Mike Lyons, a Shady Side parent and president and CEO-elect of Fizerv.
Lyons leads one of the world’s most influential fintech companies with more than 40,000 employees and more than $20 billion in annual revenue.

Student dress code for graduates includes the following: white trousers and white dress shirt with coordinating tie, navy jacket, dress shoes and coordinating socks, white knee-length dress with sleeves and white or neutral shoes, white pants or white skirt and white blouse with sleeves and white or neutral shoes.
Academy officials said traffic along Fox Chapel Road will be congested. They recommend people arrive early and follow the directions of parking coordinators.
There will be signage indicating drop-off spots for both students and guests.
The road to the quad will be blocked to traffic at 8:45 a.m.
Some parking spots will be reserved for cars with PA-approved handicap placards or license plates. If the driver is not disabled, please discharge passengers at the drop-off spot and park in one of the general parking locations.
There will be no special seating for guests requiring access accommodations since all seating areas can accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, etc. Ushers will be available to assist guests.
Attendees are encouraged to leave ample time to reach assembly areas, for guests to be seated, and for those with special needs to be transported to the seating area.
