OT GARETH WARREN
Experience/age: Rookie, will turn 22 in August
Contract status: $842,666 cap hit if he makes the team, signed through 2027
The past: Warren signed a contract with the Steelers after impressing the staff during the team’s rookie minicamp tryout in May. He received a $2,000 signing bonus.
Warren attended Lindenwood University, a Division I FCS school in Saint Charles, Mo., that plays in the Ohio Valley Conference. He played guard and tackle for the school, and he made 36 starts at left guard and left tackle. After playing guard in 2022, he moved to tackle and played there the past two seasons.
Warren was named to the all-conference team on three occasions, including a first-team selection in 2024.
A native of Kailua Kona, Hawaii, Warren grew up a Steelers fan and he told the Lindenwood website that it was a “dream come true.”
Warren was good enough to be picked for the East-West Shrine all-star game, and he signed with the Steelers after going undrafted.

2025 outlook: Warren is 6-foot-6 and weighs 333 pounds, making him one of the biggest players on the 90-man roster. He is a long shot to make the roster, but he could find a home on the practice squad if he has a good training camp and preseason.
Warren’s experience on the left side of the offensive line could be pivotal to the Steelers’ future. Broderick Jones is entering his first season as a starter at left tackle, and Warren could develop into a potential replacement if Jones falters. Left guard Isaac Seumalo is entering the final year of his contract, and Warren could be an insurance policy there.
