A person is dead after an overnight crash in Washington County.

According to a report from Washington County Coroner Tim Warco, the crash occurred on State Route 481 in Carroll Township before 3 a.m.

Warco said the driver, who has not been identified yet, lost control of the vehicle while traveling south, hitting a concrete parapet of a bridge at the intersection of State Route 481 and State Route 2023. The vehicle then caught fire.

A second driver came across the scene and called the police just after 3 a.m., the report said. Carroll Township Police are investigating the incident.
