A man was pronounced dead after his vehicle crashed Wednesday afternoon in Indiana County.

Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman said Stanley Clay Henderson, 54, of the West Wheatfield Township village of Robinson, may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash on Reynolds Road in the township.

The crash and the cause of death are under investigation.

Henderson was driving south when his vehicle left the berm, struck a large boulder, became airborne, struck the ground with its front end and flipped onto its driver’s side, according to Overman.

He said Henderson wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

State police, Citizens Ambulance Service and local firefighters responded to the scene.

Kenneth Stuart Funeral Home of New Florence is in charge of arrangements.
