Brackenridge administrator Denise Tocco submitted her letter of resignation to council last week.

Tocco served as office manager, secretary and treasurer for 43 years. She will officially retire Friday.

Tocco was not at the meeting, but her letter was read aloud. She thanked council for “the opportunity to be part of the borough.”

Council President Tim Connelly said Tocco served the borough well and thanked her for her service.

The retirement did not come as a surprise. Tocco gave council a heads-up earlier this year to allow them time to search for a replacement.

In August, council hired the borough’s first official manager — Chad Edwards.

Edwards most recently served as Village Manager of East Palestine, Ohio, where he came on board months after the February 2023 Norfolk Southern train derailment.
