Westmoreland County and other area residents can experience the beauty of a Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre performance closer to home, as the dancers go on tour with “Classical Romance.”

The 7 p.m. Nov. 8 performance at the the Seton Hill University Performing Arts Center, 100 Harrison Ave., Greensburg, features two eras of ballet “colliding in classical romance,” according to a release.

Dancers will showcase their talents with “The Sleeping Beauty” and “Giselle.”

“The Sleeping Beauty” gives audiences highlights of Princess Aurora, her prince and their fairy tale friends, and includes the bluebird pas de deux and “Rose Adagio,” set to a Tchaikovsky score.

Viewers can then lose themselves in the mist and supernatural beauty of “Giselle.”

Dancers will bring to life the story of a village girl doomed by a lover’s deceit to a ghostly sisterhood of spurned maidens intent on revenge in excerpts of this Romantic period ballet.
