The Strip District is quickly expanding its entertainment district, and a new upscale mini-golf venue is joining the fun.

Drive Shack Inc., a Dallas-based leisure company, is bringing a Puttery location to the Strip District, complete with three themed, nine-hole courses and several bar and lounge areas across two stories. The Puttery location will anchor a new development for the neighborhood: The Vision on Fifteenth, an eight-story, mixed-use building featuring 275,000 square feet of commercial, research and retail space.

“Pittsburgh is nationally known for its energetic sports culture, so it was only a matter of time before we brought Puttery to the City of Champions,” said Drive Shack Inc. President and CEO Hana Khouri in a release.

The Puttery will become the second upscale mini-golf venue in the neighborhood, joining Puttshack, which plans to open in The Terminal building later this year. Puttery Pittsburgh will be located at 116 15th St. The Puttery has opened other locations in Dallas and Charlotte, and is expanding into Philadelphia, Chicago, Miami, and other U.S. cities.

It will fill 19,000 square feet, and will provide city views while patrons play putt-putt. Food will also be available.

Local developer Burns Scalo Real Estate has partnered with Bridgeville-based RDC Inc. to construct the Vision at 15th complex. The complex is expected to open this summer. Puttery Pittsburgh is expected to open in early 2023.
