There are two types of people in this world: those who are tuning in to watch the first episode of the final season of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” tonight, and those who inexplicably feel the need to inform everyone that they won’t be watching.

You can place us solidly in the former group. Following tonight’s season-eight premiere, we’ll be posting a recap and review of the show here at Triblive.com, but for now, let’s scour the Twitterverse and see how fans are preparing…

Winter is literally coming to Chicago, with snow in today’s forecast for the Midwest city. One fan posted this beautiful piece of fan art showing the Night King riding his dead horse with zombie dragon Viserion in his wake.

This sums up our feelings pretty well.

One clever Photoshopper reunited “House Stark” in the most hilarious way possible.

Alright, Masters tournament…. we see what you did there…

Then there was that time Arby’s made a dragon out of sandwich boxes.

One fan had a cheeky take on the first meeting between Bran Stark and the man who put him in a wheelchair back in the very first episode of the series, Ser Jaime Lannister.

A homemade intro using acoustic guitar and Funko Pop characters? Count us in.

And finally, a beautiful and terrifying piece of fan art with a quote from the show that could almost be the series’ thesis statement.

And all of this doesn’t even include the “Bar of Thrones” in Downtown Pittsburgh, complete with its own weirwood tree!

“Game of Thrones” final season premieres at 9 p.m. Sunday on HBO.
