'Harriet' tells the tale of American freedom fighter
The story of the extraordinary life and legacy of American freedom fighter Harriet Tubman arrives on the big screen Nov. 1.
The Focus Feature film “Harriet” tells her tale of escape from slavery and transformation into one of America’s greatest heroes. The trailer for the movie was released today.
The cast includes Cynthia Erivo (“Broad City,” “Bad Times at the El Royale”), Leslie Odom Jr. (“Smash,” “Hamilton”), Janelle Monáe (“Hidden Figures,” “Moonlight”), Joe Alwyn (“Mary Queen of Scots,” “The Favourite”), Jennifer Nettles (“Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors”) and Clarke Peters (“The Wire,” “John Wick”).
Most people are familiar with the Underground Railroad, but a lot don't know about the woman who started it, Harriet Tubman.
