The first poster has been released for "It: Chapter Two," the second film in the two-part adaptation of Stephen King’s classic horror novel "It."

We don’t know the extended-range forecast for late summer, but rain or no, there’s a good chance things will be floating in Derry, Maine.

In the words of a certain creepy clown, “We all float down here.”

The first teaser trailer has been released for the second chapter in director Andy Muschietti’s adaptation of Stephen King’s “It,” about a murderous creature that lives in Derry’s sewers and terrorizes its residents every few decades.

The second half of the story will shift focus to the members of the Loser’s Club as adults, returning to their hometown in order to put Pennywise the Dancing Clown down for good.

It stars Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader and Javier Botet, along with Bill Skarsgård as the titular “It.”

The trailer doesn’t give much away, so there’s no telling if — mild book spoilers ahead — Muschietti plans to delve into Pennywise’s interdimensional origins, but it does stay true to at least one scene from the book and original TV adaptation: Beverly Marsh (Chastain) returns to her childhood home to find what she believes is a nice, elderly woman living there. But as their conversation progresses, things begin to get more and more unsettling as Beverly realizes she may not be talking to a woman, or even a human.

“It: Chapter Two” opens Sept. 6.
