Trailer of Beyonce's Netflix film released
Beyonce fans got a bit more detail Monday when Netflix released a trailer for her film that will premiere next week.
“Homecoming” will showcase the preparation before her headlining performance last year at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Netflix on Sunday posted an image on its social media channels hinting at the special that will be available on the streaming service April 17.
But the trailer shows behind-the-scenes footage leading up to the show, which received positive reviews from several outlets.
Her performance, with a large marching band, was in line with Southern black musical traditions and similar to football halftime shows at historically black colleges, the New York Times reported. Variety reported that nearly 24 songs made an appearance during Beyonce’s 105-minute performance.
Beyonce’s “Formation” world tour visited Pittsburgh in 2016.
