Watch 'Fast' flicks, make some quick bucks — like $1,000
Anyone with a spare 20 hours and keen eye for car crashes can make an extra $1,000 by watching 10 movies.
Personal finance website FinanceBuzz is offering the cash to someone who can help the site measure the insurance impact of reckless driving in the “Fast & Furious” movie franchise known for street racing.
The FinanceBuzz Fast & Furious Claims Adjuster will watch all 10 moves in the franchise and take detailed notes on all vehicle damage — including the number of crashes, damages and types of vehicle — with an eye to how the number of crashes have changed since the first movie was released in 2001.
For a chance to earn $1,000, you’ll have to apply by Friday. Applicants must be at least 18 and based in the United States with the ability to rent or stream movies from home and watch a movie in a theater. The candidate will be selected by May 26 and will have two weeks to complete the binge-watching.
An additional $100 will be available to cover any costs related to watching the newest release “Fast X.” Pittsburgh-area theaters have showtimes Thursday for the movie.
For the winner, the cash works out to less than $1 per minute.
The “Fast & Furious” movie franchise has amassed billions in revenue as it follows tales of family, heists and spying, and, of course, illegal street racing.
Do you love the Fast & Furious franchise? ????
We’ll pay someone with a true need for speed $1,000 to watch all 10 movies and record the car crash damage ???? #FastX #FastAndFurious https://t.co/HKMCebQ3L6— FinanceBuzz.com (@financebuzz) May 9, 2023
