Latrobe artist Doreen Currie will offer a still-life painting workshop at the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Ligonier Valley in August.

The “Summer Workshop” is designed for beginner and intermediate artists alike, and is planned 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 2.

Currie is an award-winning artist whose paintings were recently featured in the museum’s “Doreen Currie: Plein-Air Paradigm” exhibit. She will offer workshop students still life painting demonstrations, step-by-step instructions, tips and feedback, according to museum officials.

Cost is $50. Reservations are required by July 29. Participants must supply their own materials, and the museum will provide a supply list to those registering.
