Grammy- and Dove award-winning singer Russ Taff will appear in concert at Christian Community Church, Stoystown, at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Taff, 65, first gained recognition as a singer as a member of the Imperials in the 1970s. He later joined the Gaither Vocal Band and continues to make guest appearances for Gaither Homecoming concerts.
As a solo artist, Taff won Grammy awards in 1983 and 1991. He was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame with other members of the Imperials in 1998.
In October 2018, a documentary about Taff’s troubled childhood and battle with alcoholism was released in theaters for a one-day showing. The film, “I Still Believe,” is now available on DVD on his website.
